Lots of Pockets

Hello Everyone! I'm back today with my latest Project Life page using the AWESOME Noel Mignon's Show and Tell Daily Dairy Kit. This page is a bit different from last week. I used a 12x12 pocket page from October Afternoon with 3x3 pockets for the first time. I must say, I LOVE this style pocket page. It's a bit of a challenge to decorate the smaller squares but layering smaller embellishments worked well. I used Crate Paper's Wonder collection for most of my page.

I used the Collect App for my photos including a 4 x 6 style. The 4 x 6 format in the Collect App creates a large photo with lots of white space to add embellishments. Please hop on over the Noel's blog to see more pics of my page. Have a great weekend everyone!!

OK - how yummy is this kit?!?! This is Noel Mignon's Pool Party Daily Diary Kit - PERFECT for your Project Life Pages, Pocket Style Scrapbooking or Mini Albums. Need to scrap those summer photos - then this is the kit for you!! I have created three Project Life pages with this kit and still have leftovers!! Here's my second Project Life page using this AWESOME kit!!

It's time for a Pool Party!!

Howdy ya'll! I'm hopping on today to share my first Project Life Page as a Design Team member for Noel Mignon!! {insert squeal here!} I have been a Noel Mignon kit subscriber for a LONG time, and highly recommend Noel's kits. I have yet to come across a kit that has more packed into it than hers. All the papers and embellies are beautifully coordinated and make scrapping a breeze! Noel Mignon offers two types of kits. The classic kits are designed for layouts. The Daily Diary kits are geared for pocket scrappers so to be on the team as a Daily Diary Kit Designer is so exciting!! I love how bright and summery this month's kit is!!!! I have already created two PL pages and am working on my third and I will STILL have leftovers!!

 I love this picture of Joshua and Lilly walking hand and hand. It is so sweet and innocent. The orange and pinks in the collection are perfect for this picture. I added some messy stitching, a few stamped cheverons and some fun embellishments.

An Art Filled Weeknd!

Hello bloggers! Hope you are all well and enjoying life. I'm happily off today after a few busy work days. Time off is the only way I can get through the work week sometimes, especially if there is a lot of art involved in my time off! This past weekend was filled with art which makes me soooo happy!  I had the pleasure of attending several classes this past week at Right at Home Scrapbooking. We were very lucky to have the oh so talented Catherine Scanlon visit us for the weekend. Friday night Catherine taught a wonderful watercolor class - I learned so much about using products I already had! Saturday was an all day art journal class and we had the opportunity to use her newly released stamps and stencils. I learned some cool lettering techniques and can't wait to finish my pages. Thanks Catherine for a fun weekend!! Looking forward to your return visit in April!!

 

I also finished up a layout this past weekend using Creative Scrappers Sketch 260. This was a fun challenge for me and I wanted to change it up a bit. Here's the Sketch ...

 

I wanted to replace the triangles with something different so I grabbed my latest

Noel Mignon Kit "Fresh Start" and found these adorable chipboard speech bubbles by October Afternoon. The papers are from the same collection called "Daily Flash". Here's my take on the sketch ...

 

I have a few of the speech bubbles coming off the page. Instead of stitching the lines from the sketch I took an old credit card and dabbed it in gesso to create the white lines ...



I love this picture of Simba sleeping with one of her favorite toys. She dreams a lot and that's what inspired this layout. She is such a sweet dog and is almost 13 years old. I'm so lucky to have her in my life.  I added some gold sequins to accent the frame ...
