The design team challenge this week is called Our House. We were to incorporate our house in our projects or create a home decor piece. I created a home decor project using an embroidery hoop. Here's my creation.

Bermuda Mini Album | Part 2

Hello Everyone! I'm returning today with Part 2 of my Bermuda Mini Album. For part 1, please check out yesterday's post on my blog. I mentioned yesterday that I used the latest and greatest kit from Noel Mignon called "Pack Your Bags" - a perfect kit to highlight vacation photos. If you are on the fence about a kit club, you will NOT be disappointed with these kits. They are so full of current and hip products including tons of embellishments. It's like Christmas every month!
Here are more pages from my album ...
Part of our bus tour including the smallest working draw bridge.

Lots of cute little shops here in the Craft Market ...

The Bermuda Arts Centre was one of my FAV stops - the artists blew me away with how talented they are.

I was obsessed with these phone booths and took a bit too many pics of them! I love how the pic looks against the grey text paper!

This is the pool at the resort. We were there during the off season so we pretty much had the pool to ourselves most of the time. There were also hot tubs available which were so relaxing!

It was sooo nice to see my Dad hanging by the pool and drinking smoothies!!

These local birds were around ALL the time - even in the restaurants. Most of the guests didn't care for them at the dinner table, but I was feeding them! I couldn't help it - they were so cute and friendly!

The beaches in Bermuda are breath taking! The water is so clear and the shades of blue were amazing. The beaches are gorgeous and easy to walk on!

This is Hamilton at night - decorated for Christmas.

How pretty are these homes ... Bermuda is NOT afraid of color!!!

These photos crack me up. This is my Mom's cousin and her name is Polly ... check out the close-up of the apron in the next photo ...

I ended the album with one of the many GORGEOUS sunsets. We all hope to return soon. It was one of the best vacations I've ever had and I'm still in love with how friendly everyone is!

Thanks stopping by and checking out my mini album. I had fun reliving the trip while creating it! Have a great week everyone!!

Bermuda Mini Album | Part 1

Hello Bloggers! I hope you are having a nice week. I wanted to share this cute little mini album with you highlighting our trip to Bermuda in 2013. I gave this as a gift to one of my family members that went on the trip and she loved it! The album size alone is so cute! I used a 4 x 4" WeR Memory Keepers Instagram Classic Leather Album in a gorgeous coral color. These are great quality albums and perfect for those Instagram photos. I thought it would be a nice, convenient size to go in her suitcase for the trip home!! For my mini album, I used Noel Mignon's "Pack your Bags" kit. This kit is PERFECT to showcase any travel photos. I love Noel's kits! They are LOADED with products that are fun and current and coordinated impeccably! I will break this post up into two parts so you are not overloaded with photos! Here's the cover - I kept it very simple as the leather is just so lovely!!!

The title page was fun to create - the map paper is perfect. The rub-on plane is leaving Boston, which you can see if you click on the photo for more detail, and arriving in Bermuda.

I love the photo of us leaving sooooo early. It was definitely worth it to arrive with the whole day ahead of us in Bermuda!

I was in awe of the view from our room ...

... toes in the sand. The tons of fun embellies that are included in the kit made it so easy to decorate the pages!!

The resort we stayed in had it's own beach!!

One of three restaurants on the resort and one of many lovely sunsets ...

Lots of smiling faces as we begin a tour of the island ...

I'm going to continue sharing my album in a second post tomorrow! I had so much fun creating this mini that I kept adding page, after page!! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will stop by tomorrow too to see the rest of the album using this amazing Noel Mignon Kit!!!

Project Life | Week 32

In August of 2013, I decided to try Project Life style scrapbooking. I quickly discovered that I really enjoyed it and my collection of products grew! In 2014 I started Project Life on Day 1 and was eager to complete the entire year. I kept up really well until other awesome Design Team opportunities arrived and creative time was more limited. I have missed creating pocket style pages and recently got back into the groove. I'm on a mission to finish 2014 and continue into 2015.
I finished two more pages this weekend and I wanted to share them with you starting with Week 32|2014. I used a beautiful kit from WeR Memory Keepers called "Inked Rose Albums Made Easy Card Set". The color palette is GORGEOUS and bright and summery and was so fun to create with - especially during this dreary winter.
I don't have a set "formula" to create my pages. I get bored if I use the exact process each time. I love changing up the photo pocket page designs, the size of my pictures and how much I choose to embellish each card. This week I used photo pocket Design K. This page design is great for Instagram photos. I printed my photos to about 2.5" square using my Pic Stitch app and my Canon Selphy printer. I love this size photo because it allows me to add more embellishments to my cards. I used coordinating stickers from the collection as well as some other stickers in my PL stash. I also used a date stamp. Yesterday, I finished this page, photographed it and as I was getting ready to upload and edit the photos I realized the dates were perfect, but the year was not - I stamped 2015 on just about EVERY card!! That explains the white banners with the dates on them!!!! Here's the whole page, followed by some close-ups!!

The love sticker is on the outside of the pocket ...

Thanks for stopping by and checking out Week 32|2014. I'd love to hear from you!! I will be back tomorrow with Week 33|2014 using a new Daily Diary Kit from Noel Mignon!

Project Life: Weeks 20 and 21

Hello bloggers! Hope you are all well and having a good day. I have a confession ... I kinda cheated.
It's sooooo easy to get behind on, well anything, but in my crafty life on Project Life. The past few weeks I haven't even taken enough photos to create full 12x12 pages.
In order to catch up my solution was to use smaller pages for Weeks 20 and 21!!  I continued using WeR Memory Keepers Inked Rose collection for both weeks. I love using different sized pages in my scrapbook albums or mini albums so these smaller pages are perfect for a variety. Page Design J is great for a week when you didn't take many photos or, like me, if you want to catch up quickly so you don't fall too far behind. I feel like if I fall too behind on PL it won't get done. So here's Week 20 ...

I added some stamping - I'm getting better at stamping BTW!! I also added some twine from The Twinery around one of the frames.

Week 21 is similar but I used more photos ...

One of the 4x6 cards in the collection has banners on it so I cut them out and added them to some photos.

My sweet yellow lab in 13 years old and I want to enjoy every moment I have with her!! She is the best dog EVER!!!!!!!!

So, now I'm caught up! I'm trying to keep up with my PL planner - that really helps, even to simply jot down thoughts or events. I also make note if I have a photo for that particular day. Taking the time to take photos is so important!!! Thanks for stopping by and I'll be back soon with my first DT project for Mixed Media Monthly Challenge.

Happy Memorial Day and Catching Up!

THANK-YOU to all our Veterans on this memorial Day and EVERYDAY! Your dedication and sacrifice are beyond amazing and it is why I'm here today. God Bless You!!
Exciting news alert ... I am so happy to be a part of a brand new artsy Design Team!! The team is called  Mixed Media Monthly Challenge. The concept for the team was created by Donna Bowman and Rachel Kleinman. When I was asked to join I was so psyched! To be on the ground floor of a new team is exciting. We will host a challenge every month and you will have the whole month share your project(s). We will have excellent sponsors each month and prizes will be given at the end of the challenge! We will also have guest designers each month who participate with the challenge as well! We start on June 1st so stop by and join us for some messy fun!
I am also going teach a few classes at Right at Home Scrapbooking starting with a new Prima Doll Tags class using Julie Nutting's ADORABLE doll stamps!! I will post sneak peeks soon and for more info. check out the RAH calendar
With all my new adventures, Project Life has fallen back a bit. I have finished Week 19. I used a new kit from WeR Memory Keepers. The collection is called "Inked Rose" and the colors are so me lately! Bright orange, pink, yellow and teal! The collection includes an "Albums Made Easy Card Set". The coordinating embossed stickers are gorgeous and dimensional. The page design for Week 19 is Design K. Here's the entire page followed by some close-ups ...

The collection has a mixed media feel to it with all the splatters on the cards. I typed the journaling card and added a few of the embossed stickers. Keeping it simple! How cute is this "Hello" card ...

All the photos were printed using the Collect App ...

Weeks 20 and 21 are in progress. I'm going to "cheat" and use smaller page designs so I can catch up!! Thanks for letting me share all my news and Happy Memorial Day to you all! I will be back with more projects and hope to see you on the Mixed Media Monthly Challenge Blog!
