Vacation, Pet Sitting and Project Life

Happy Wednesday! It's been so incredibly nice having this week off in between the holidays. It's lovely not getting up at 5:00am, and not commuting and especially not working!! I think I'm ready to retire, unfortunately I have a way to go before that happens.
I've been pet sitting a VERY ENERGETIC, very anxious dog for my neighbor.
He's a 2 yr. old rescue dog and I'm not sure what his background is other than he was rescued from a tornado situation in Mississippi. He's sweet but quite anxious. Each day is a little better but every little noise sets him off. He's a snuggle bunny at night and it's nice having him since my recent loss of my sweet girl Simba.
I have been catching up a bit on project life and I want to share another page with you today. This is a fun page that came together quickly. I used Maggie Holmes Open Book Collection, including lots of die cuts that coordinate with the collection. Here's the whole page ...
Here's close ups of the cards. I layered the die cuts with some fabric brads.
The cardstock stickers are Chit Chat stickers by Tim Holtz. I love these and use them on ALOT of my projects! They are pretty perfect for project life pages!

I love the gold in the Open Book collection! A quick easy page to catch up!
Thanks for stopping by and I'll be back tomorrow with another PL page! Enjoy your day!

Resolutions with Mistletoe & Holly

Hey Everyone! Hope you had a great Holiday. The least favorite part is coming up - cleanup!! So, put that aside for a bit and tune in to the Noel Mignon blog for some Resolution-themed projects this week. I created a pocket page using December's Mistletoe & Holly Daily Diary Kit. My page has no photos on it to focus on the journaling. Here's the whole page.
I love the simplicity of this page. The journaling is the main focus and the pocket cards in this month's kit make the journaling easy! For more details and close up photos please stop by the blog today.
Thanks for letting me share and see you soon with more projects!

Holiday Pocket Page

The final countdown to Christmas! I have today off, have to work Thursday 7am-12pm and then DONE for 10 days! I really need some time off and this comes at a great time. I'm looking forward to spending time with my family and I'm dog sitting for a neighbor of mine. Since losing Simba the house is quiet so Chewie, who is two years old, will add some life to the house! I'm hoping I'm ready for all his energy!!
Yesterday I posted my latest pocket page over on the Noel Mignon Blog using the GORGEOUS Mistletoe & Holly Daily Diary Kit. There are a few kits left so if you're interested grab one now before they disappear! These kits are so loaded with product you will not be disappointed. Here's my page and for more photos and details please stop by the Noel Mignon blog and check them out.
Wishing all of you a wonderful holiday season. Stay safe and enjoy your time with family and friends!! Thanks for stopping by!

Catching Up ... Again!

Hi Everyone! Hope you are all doing well and are having a good week. I'm still in denial that Christmas is next week! I think with the weather being so warm, not complaining, and losing my beautiful dog this past weekend has put a damper on my holiday spirit this year. I know once I'm surrounded by my family I will feel better and will enjoy the day.
A few weeks ago I got together with the Artsy Fartsy girls to catch up AGAIN on Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2015. We used Google Hangout to get together as one of the girls is out of state. We always have fun creating together and it's great to share products and use products we haven't used in awhile. It's also great to learn a new technique or a new way to use products we already have. We created three tags and I wanted to share my favorite one today. I will share the other two tags next week.
My thanks to Jenn Shurkus for sharing the dimensional Sizzix die needed to create this awesome Halloween tag. Here's Tim's tag ...
I will admit, this tag was time consuming, and we goofed a bit so its was even more time consuming, LOL but well worth it in the end. All the inking really added depth to the face and made the tag come alive! Here's the final tag.
I love the gold stickles on his tooth and the layering of inks adds detail to his face.
The bottom of the tag has a fun word band attached. We added Picket Fence Distress Paint to the word band to distress it up!
Thanks for stopping by today and I will return next week with more tags and another fun holiday project life page. Have a great weekend.

Holiday Cards with Simon Says Stamp December Card Kit

I recently started purchasing Simon Says Stamp Card Kits. The kits are a great deal and include a stamp set, GREAT quality, heavy weight cardstock and lots of fun extras. December's Kit is GORGEOUS!! I have made 5 cards and a tag and still have leftovers. I've posted a few cards already here and here and here. Today I want to share my other cards and tag. Here's SSS December kit ...
The colors combos in this kit drew me in! Here's a few more cards I created.
I love this little critter! I put stickles on the ornament for some extra sparkle.
I gold embossed the sentiment on this card and added glitter to the background.

Here's my tag - love the puffy deer sticker from the PinkFresh Studio stickers included in this month's kit. The background paper is from Lawn Fawn's Snow Day 6x6 Petite Paper Pack - it was a perfect match for this tag!
Here's a close up of the adorable deer.
So, if you're looking for a good card kit, check out the monthly card kits from Simon Says Stamp. You will love the great quality of products and you'll be able to create lots of projects with these kits!
Thanks for stopping by and I'll be back with more tags later this week! Have a great day!

5 for 5 Holiday Blog Hop Event: Christmas | Day 5

I'm happy to say that the 5 for 5 Gang is back with another fun Blog Hop Event. Who is the 5 for 5 gang you ask? Well, we are 5 crafty friends getting together and creating 5 Holiday themed projects for 5 consecutive days. Our last Blog Event was for Thanksgiving 2015, and we are so excited to be back!! We have a blast creating projects for you and inspiring you to create along with us!! We use whatever we have in our stash and just have fun!
Welcome to Day 1 of our latest 5 for 5 Blog Hop Event. The event runs from December 7th to December 11th and is Christmas inspired.
Today is the final day of our 5 for 5 Holiday Blog Hop Event. We have enjoyed sharing our projects with you this week and hopefully we have inspired you to create some Holiday themed cards, tags, gift cards or whatever you desire! Today's theme is Tree! I recently won a stamp and die set from Tim Holtz so I used it to create my card. I love the dimension from building the layers of the tree!
I stamped the tree on distress watercolor cardstock and water colored the tree and ornaments with distress inks.

I applied glossy accents and glitter to add a bit of sparkle. The ornaments have glossy accents on them though it's doesn't show well in the photos. Here's my card.

Please stop by and check out all the fun projects from the designers. Some of us are offering prizes so it's worth checking out the blogs below!
