It's a Celebration!!

I'm sure by now you know about a month long super fun celebration hosted by my crafty gal Jenn Shurkus. The celebration started July 7th and every Tuesday in July party guests have "CASED" projects from Jenn's blog over the past 10 years. So if you haven't already, stop by Jenn's blog and check out all the inspired projects from tons of party goers!! What could make this MORE fun - GIFTS of course!! Check out all the AWESOME sponsors who are participating in this celebration ...

We would LOVE to have you participate and CASE one of Jenn's projects too! Jenn has some easy rules for this party and you can see them HERE. There will be a linkup on Jenn's blog and you have until August 4th to participate. All winners will be announced HERE on August 7th at 8:00am.
I was thrilled when Jenn asked me to join in the celebration. I knew which one of her awesome projects I was inspired by. I've seen it IRL and it's so pretty. Here's her card that inspired me ...

The shimmer on this card is so pretty. Check out Jenn's post HERE for details on her lovely card. I decided to create a tag using her background technique. If you know me you know I love creating Prima Doll Tags. So I decided to use a doll stamp and incorporate it onto the background. Here's my tag which I created on watercolor paper ...

I love the bright colors and all the yummy shimmer! I kept her outfit kinda simple so it wouldn't compete with the background. Here's a few close ups - you can see the shimmer more in this photo ...

I love how this came out! It's one of my favorite tags to date! Please stop by Jenn's blog to see today's party guests projects.
Thanks for letting me share this with you and I hope you participate with the celebration - hey, the sponsored prizes will be worth it AND it will be fun!! Have a great day!

Having fun with the Pool Party Daily Diary Kit!!

Happy Weekend!! Boy, do I love saying that, especially this time of year!!
I have a third Project Life page I wanted to share with you using
Noel Mignon's Pool Party Daily Diary Kit. I have used the heck out of this kit and still have leftovers. I'm up on the blog today with this page including lots of close-ups. you can check out the post >>HERE<<. There are still a few of these kits left. If you have summer photos to scrap then this is the kit for you! Here's my page ...
I used the Collect App for my photos including a 4 x 6 style. The 4 x 6 format in the Collect App creates a large photo with lots of white space to add embellishments. Please hop on over the Noel's blog to see more pics of my page. Have a great weekend everyone!!

A Watercolor Project Life Page

Happy Wednesday Ya'll!! I'm back today with another Project Life page. I was so excited to have the opportunity to use some GORGEOUS Project Life cards designed by the very talented Stephanie Lewis. I chose to use some watercolor cards that are not only beautiful but are superior in quality! PLEASE stop by Steph's Etsy Shop to see all her lovely PL cards, note cards and notepads. Here's the set of cards I chose from Steph's shop ...
Aren't they so pretty?! Each design is hand drawn and digitally converted then printed on high quality, thick matte cover stock. Here's my finished page ...
I love the look of neutral colored photos with the beautiful watercolor cards. I stitched on each one of Steph's cards and splattered them with Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Gold. Here's some close ups of the cards ...
I used my Fuse Tool to create the shaker pocket ... so easy and fun!

I added some gold dotted washi tape to some of the photos - I can't get enough gold lately!

Steph has several sets of PL cards in her shop so please check them out! They are so worth it and very affordable. Thanks Steph for the opportunity to use these amazing cards - it was a pleasure!!! Have a great day!!

It's time for a Pool Party!!

Howdy ya'll! I'm hopping on today to share my first Project Life Page as a Design Team member for Noel Mignon!! {insert squeal here!} I have been a Noel Mignon kit subscriber for a LONG time, and highly recommend Noel's kits. I have yet to come across a kit that has more packed into it than hers. All the papers and embellies are beautifully coordinated and make scrapping a breeze! Noel Mignon offers two types of kits. The classic kits are designed for layouts. The Daily Diary kits are geared for pocket scrappers so to be on the team as a Daily Diary Kit Designer is so exciting!! My first post is up TODAY so if you have some time and want to check it out I have a lot of close-ups on the blog >>HERE<<. Here's my first page using the Pool Party Daily Diary Kit.

I love how bright and summery this month's kit is!!!! I have already created two PL pages and am working on my third and I will STILL have leftovers!!
Thanks for stopping by today and letting me share my news with you! I have another PL page with the AWESOME kit coming up later this month!
Have a great week!!

Mixed Media Monthly Challenge #14 Reveal | Summer Days

Hey Everyone! I've been under the weather for the past few days but I'm on the mend. Not sure what I had ? virus - the standard response when I don't have a clue! Thanks to my co-workers for putting up with me and helping me out! I now have the next week off so I'm glad I'm better. July first means a new challenge over on the Mixed Media Monthly Challenge Blog. The theme is "Summer Days"!! How fun, right?! The possibilities are endless - like I wish the summer was. I decided to create a canvas to feature a photo taken by a great friend, photographer Heather Chick. The photo is of her adorable kids who I have used ALOT in my scrapbook pages over the years. I printed the photo on white Sticky Back Canvas to give the photo some texture. I also printed it in black and white to contrast the colors of ink sprays I chose. Here's my canvas ...

I love all the yummy texture on this canvas. Instead of gesso, I prepped the canvas with Golden's Fiber Paste - this adds luscious texture. I then added various items (lace, punchinella, cheese cloth, washi tape) for more texture - the more you add the more the inks will pool in all the "nooks and crannies" of the canvas. The lines were created by using Tim Holtz "Stripes" Layering stencil and Ranger's Texture paste. I then added some ink sprays by painting the ink on and letting it drip down the stenciled lines. Here's some close-ups ...

I used ink sprays to color the flowers and the resin pieces as well ...

Aren't Heather's kids the absolute cutest?!?!

Our sponsor this month is Butterfly Reflections Ink.

Please check out the Mixed Media Monthly Challenge Blog to follow the few rules we have to participate - it's not much and we love to see all your work!! I'll be back tomorrow to share my new design team news!! Thanks for stopping by!!!
