Back to Reality ...

Returning to reality after vacation is never easy - especially after having such a fun time at CHA Chicago. I did miss my family and friends and my furry family but I did not miss work and the daily routine. I have to admit I haven't created ANYTHING since I've been back but that's about to change .... projects are now presenting themselves and it's time to be crafty again! Hopefully a break will spark some new ideas and projects.

I wanted to share the projects I did for Creative Imaginations over the next few posts starting with a NEW collection from Samantha Walker called "A to Z" - perfect for school photos and memories!! Kate, my Niece's daughter is the subject of this layout using the "A to Z" collection. I also created a card for that special teacher.

Just my Imagination ...

One of the highlights of my trip to CHA Chicago was hanging out with the crew at the Creative Imaginations Booth! I was able to meet the integral people behind the scenes that make it all happen! I was excited to meet and work with Eva Doblias a fellow CIDT member - and we helped with a few make and takes at the booth - a great opportunity to meet people and work with the amazing Luminarte products. I also had the opportunity to take a class with the talented Marah Johnson and I LOVE the mini album we created! Here's a few pics of the booth activities, including a few samples of what I created for the booth ...

The waiting is the hardest part ....

Waiting to get into CHA was fun ... it was hot, which wasn't fun, but the anticipation made me feel like a kid waiting for Christmas. Bagpipes played which gave me goosebumps but unfortunately I didn't see them - too far back in line as you can see ...

DCWV had one of the best booths which was the first booth you saw upon entering the show ...

How clever is this upside down Christmas Tree ?!?!?!?

Based on pictures I've seen from previous CHA Shows, Graphic 45 has phenomenal booth presentations and this year was no exception ...

Chicago,Chicago ... I will show you Around!

Well, CHA-Chicago was soooo much FUN!! But HOT doesn't even describe how hot it was ... heat index over 100,humid,bad hair days, staying indoors most of the time (which is hard for me to do ... I need to be outside as much as I can). It was well worth it - the show was awesome!! I was like a kid ... the new products are so amazing and the designers totally blew me away - the talent out there is incredible!

I'm going to share a few posts to capture the highlights of the show, starting with the convention center and signage ... (I didn't spend a ton of time editing the pics)

Lovin' Summer

Summer here in New England is such a short lived season that we cling to every moment and cherish every sunny day. I want to soak in these few months and make the most of them. To help me stay in this moment I been creating summer layouts as much as possible. This one was done with Creative Imaginations IOD Beach Cottage line. My nieces took their kids to the beach after confirmation and my layout features Miss Katelynn enjoying that gorgeous, sunny day. A special THANKS to my talented friend Jenn Shurkus for encouraging us to capture the best season of the year with summery projects. Check out Jenn's blog for awesome summer-inspired projects posted DAILY in July - it'll be so much FUN!! ENJOY the season.
