Another Layout from Crop on the Cape 2015

Hello Everyone! I'm hopping on with a quick post to share another layout that I completed at Crop on the Cape 2015. I used Noel Mignon's "Shine Bright" kit for this page. It's a simple page letting the gold goodness of the background paper shine through. I love this photo of these two - they always make me smile!!

I Am

This past weekend at Crop on the Cape 2015 I actually did TWO layouts! I put the finishing touches on them and wanted to share them with you. While at the crop Paper Issues was having an online crop with challenges. One of them was a sketch challenge and that was my inspiration for this layout. I used Simple Stories "I Am" collection, including project life cards that coordinates with the collection. Some of the products I used came from Noel Mignon's latest Classic Kit "Shine Bright" - a knock out kit this month!!

I took a selfie awhile ago with my Fuji Instax Camera - such a fun camera to bring to a crop too!!

The chipboard alpha goes so well with the collection ...

I added some sequins and Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Gold for my final pop of color.

Thanks for stopping by and I'll be back with my other layout and the winner of my giveaway. Have a great day!

Project Life | Weeks 36 & 37 and Giveaway Update!!

Hello Everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend! I returned Sunday from one of the best crop events EVER - Crop on the Cape! I believe this is the 5th or 6th time I've gone and it's always a great time! I don't always get tons done but it's so awesome to catch up with everyone, laugh, have a few adult beverages and just socialize with ladies that share the same passion about art! If you are local please look into this event - you won't be disappointed!
I did two layouts at the crop which I will share later this week. I also finished up a few Project Life pages - weeks 36 and 37 | 2014. Since I'm catching up with PL, I'm going back to see what I have for photos, and I came up very short for week 36. So, I used Photo Pocket Page Design J which is a smaller page design. I used Heidi Swapp's Favorite Things PL collection ...

Here's some close-ups

I used sequins, stamps and Heidi Swapp Sheer Stickers that coordinate with the collection. The vellum circles were die cut with Lawn Fawn's Circle Stackables Dies.

For week 37 I had more pictures to work with! So I created a two-pager using Photo Pocket Page Design J for the left side and Page Design G for the right side of the PL spread. For week 37 I used a new PL kit called "Trinkets". This is a value kit I purchased at Michael's and is loaded with gold elements!!

Gold-ness overload, right?!?! Here's some close ups starting with the left side of the page ...

I added some stitching on a few of the cards.

Here's the right side ... I included a shaker pocket and stitched the star right onto the pocket.

The title card is very simple ...

This was a fun collection to work with.

Todays' theme is "Basket". I created a fun card using Lawn Fawn's "Eggstra Special Easter" Stamp and Die set again - LOVE this set! I started with a
Lawn Fawn Sunflower Notecard. I die cut a circle with the
Stitched Circle Stackables Die Set and layered that on top of a doily. I then stamped the adorable basket of eggs, a few extra eggs, including the cute little faces on the eggs. I colored and die cut the basket of eggs and the extra eggs. I added a grass border using the Grassy border die by Lawn Fawn. Here's my card ...

Welcome to Day 3 of our 5 for 5 Blog Event! This month's event runs from March 16th until March 20th and is based on Easter.
Today's theme is "Watercolor". I created a card for today's project. I started with Ranger's Distress Watercolor Cardstock - card size and trimmed it to 4x4". This paper is AWESOME for watercolor and comes in 8.5 x 11" sheets and precut for cards. I used a stamp by Memory Box called Easter Egg Tree. I inked the stamp with Ranger's Archival Jet Black Ink and stamped onto the watercolor paper. I grabbed some Ranger's Distress Inks "Peeled Paint" and Tumbled Glass" and water-colored the background grass and sky. I then took some Ranger Distress Markers and colored in the eggs. Once dry, I colored in the eggs with clear glitter glue which made the eggs really pop! I added a sentiment and was done!

Here's a close up of the colored eggs ...

I am offering a prize and all you need to do is leave a comment on each of the 5 days of the hop to qualify. Here's a peek at my prize. I picked spring themed products including some lovely Studio Paints ...

Welcome to Day 2 of our 5 for 5 Blog Event! This month's event runs from March 16th until March 20th and is based on Easter.
Todays theme is "Pink and Lavender". I made a cute little tag to give to a friend who is helping me out. The background was created using a piece of paper from Lawn Fawn's "Hello Sunshine" 6x6 petite paper pad. To create the grass I used Lawn Fawn's Grassy Border Die and a piece of paper from "Let's Polka" 6x6 petite paper pad. The cute tulips were stamped and then die cut with Lawn Fawn's "Eggstra Special Easter" Stamps and Dies Set. I have used this set a lot for this Easter!

I embossed the sentiment and hearts. The adorable little heart is also part of the stamp set! I used a Wink of Stella Brush Pen on the tulips but the picture didn't capture the awesome glitter. Here's a close-up of the tulips.

Love how this makes me feel like Spring is almost here!! Please stop by and give some love to the 5 for 5ers - you will love what they created!

5 for 5 Designers:

I will return tomorrow with my favorite card of the hop! See you then!

Todays' theme is "Bunnies". I created a small, simple, square card that features an ADORABLE bunny from Lawn Fawn's "Eggstra Special Easter" Stamps and Die Set. I embossed a small white square and used Lawn Fawn's Stitched Square Stackable Dies to add a nice stitched edge. I then mounted this on Lawn Fawn's Walnut Notecard that I cut to a 3.5" square. I colored the bunny with alcohol markers, added a sentiment and some tiny butterflies.

Lawn Fawn Birthday Celebration

Some Birthdays are just more fun than others. Today some crafty friends and I are celebrating Lawn Fawn's 5th Birthday! Happy Birthday Lawn Fawn!! When my creative friend Jenn Shurkus asked if I wanted to join in on a Blog Hop to celebrate this event, how could I say no?

I am fairly new to Lawn Fawn but my collection of products is growing quickly - especially the stamp and die sets. Now that Lawn Fawn is creating a die set to match each stamp set you can't go wrong. I have learned a lot about Lawn Fawn products from Jenn, who is an awesome teacher and has become a great friend - and enabler of products. (said with love!!)
Thanks to Amazon Prime - LOVE THEM, I was able to quickly score the Lawn Fawn Year Five Stamp and Die Set. The otter in this set is sooooo stinkin' cute I can see myself using this often. Here's my card ...

My card base was created by layering white and patterned papers using Lawn Fawn's Stitched Rectangle Stackable Dies. I love the added stitched detail and the dies make this look very easy to accomplish. I then die cut a window using Lawn Fawn's Stitched Circle Stackable Dies. To create a frame for the window, I layered two consecutive sizes of the circle dies and ran them through my big shot together - this easily created a frame to finish off the window. These die sets are a must have for card makers!
I layered some patterned papers from the Let's Polka 6x6 Petite Paper Pad and used my scalloped deco scissors to cut waves. I inked the edges of the waves with Ranger's Evergreen Bough Distress Ink and layered them together. I added another piece of paper form the Hello Sunshine 6x6 Petite Paper Pad to finish the background. Next, I stamped and colored the ADORABLE otter and present, die cut them and added them to my card. I accented the waves and part of the present with glitter. Lastly I stamped the sentiment with Lawn Fawn's Black Licorice Dye Ink - this ink gave a sharp, clean image for stamping.

I am NOT a quick card maker and am still newish to cards, but having all these fabulous Lawn Fawn products definitely makes cards easy and fun to create!!
You have arrived here from Roxanne's blog. Next stop is Laura's blog. If you get lost or any links are broken, please start back at Jenn's blog and she will get you back on track so you don't miss any fun projects!! Thanks Jenn for coordinating this fun event and thanks Lawn Fawn for all your fun and creative products!!

HAPPY FIFTH BIRTHDAY LAWN FAWN!!!

Project Life: Week 35|2014

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a great weekend! I had a crafty one - in fact, this month is a very crafty one and that makes me so happy!! I finished my fourth PL page this weekend and my third page using Noel Mignon's "Hey Girl" Daily Diary kit. For week 35 I highlighted an extremely fun day I had taking a class with the FABULOUS Dina Wakely. For this page I used photo pocket page design F. Here's the entire page followed by close-ups of the cards ...

I love the simplicity of the title card - sometimes less is more ...

I love the look that stamps add and there are a lot of stamp sets that are perfect for PL.

I love the memories from this page! Here's another look at the awesome kit I used to create this page - I highly recommend these kits!!
