A Summery Doll Tag

Hello Bloggers and Happy Wednesday! What are you up to today? I am off and have a few appointments and several crafting projects to catch up on.
During my crafty weekend at the Cape I made another Prima Doll Tag using one of Julie Nutting's new doll stamps. I love her latest release - the girls are all summer themed!! I look forward to creating with these new stamps over the summer!! Here's my tag. This is Suzi
She's all decked out for the summer. I stamped her on smooth classic cream neenah cardstock with Memento Ink. I used the Misti tool which I love!! I get a great stamp every time with this tool.
I added some cork to her shoes to make them look more summer themed.
I love creating with Julie's doll stamps - I have quite the collection already, and it's still growing!
Well, I'm off to get stuff done! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!! See you soon!!

Gettin' My Peep On!!!

Hey Peeps!! I'm hopping on to share a few more Easter cards I made using Simon Says Stamp March Card Kit. I can't get enough of the ADORABLE peeps in the stamp set included in the kit. There is a coordinating die set for the peeps too - how cool is that?!?! This month's kit is sold out but April's kit is available so grab one before they fly out the door!! Here's my first card - very simple to make sure the sweet peep is the center of attention. I did all my stamping with the Misti tool - one of the best purchases I've made lately!!
The stamp set included several different faces for the peeps - I love this one with the eyes close.
Just a few sequins, some twine and a sentiment and the card is done!
My second card started with a watercolored background. I then added a Peep Family using different patterned papers from the kit.
The peep family is seriously cute.
I will create more with this kit but I wanted to get my Easter cards done on time.
Happy Easter to everyone - hope you have a great time with family and friends! I'll be back next week with more projects!!

Easter Cards

Hi Everyone. I was reasonably creative this past weekend and I managed to make a few Easter cards. I used Simon Says Stamp March Card Kit to create my first card. This kit is so adorable and perfect for Easter! Here's a peek at the kit
The stamp set is super cute - the peeps are so sweet and a matching die for the peeps is included. I created a simple card using one of the larger peeps from the stamp set. Here's my card
How cute is the chocolate peep?!?! I added a pom pom for the tail and added a few sequins that were included in the kit.

For my second card I used a water colored egg I had leftover from my last Mixed Media Monthly DT project. You can see that project >>here<<. I used Lawn Fawn papers for my card.
I added black striped washi and stamped the sentiment in black which pops off the brightly colored background. I also added some sequins for a bit of sprakle!
Thanks for visiting me today and enjoy the rest of your week!!

12 Tags of 2016 | March

Hello and Happy Wednesday! I'm back to reality (boo!) after a wonderful, fun creative weekend at Crop on the Cape 2016. I met some great new friends and reunited with awesome old friends. I haven't laughed that much in a while. I stayed up LATE chatting and had such fun. I'm already looking out for the dates for next year! I have some pics of my weekend on my Instagram account.
The Artsy Fartsy Girls, Jenn ShurkusRachel Kleinman and I got together at the crop to work on our Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2016. We created January's Tag which I will post later. Rachel and I finished February and March's tags this past Monday! I wanted to share March's tag with you today. I love how this came out and it was great to use the new Distress Crayons for the first time! Here's Tim's Tag ...
I stayed true to the tag except I used a shorter piece of corrugated cardboard so the bright colors are exposed on the top and bottom of the tag as well as through the butterflies. Here's my tag including a few close ups.
How pretty is the contrast of the bright Distress Crayons with the grungy look of the corrugated cardboard. The Distress Crayons are so easy to use and blend really well with your finger!
The Picket Fence Distress Crayon is a great way to color in metal word bands - so much easier than paint!!
I LOVE how this turned out.
Thanks for stopping by and I'll be back with January and February's tag soon, as well as the other projects I completed at the crop! Have a great week!

Project Life Page

Howdy Peeps! How are you?! Happy St. Patrick's Day!
I'm getting ready to spend a weekend surrounded by crafty, fun, silly friends and I couldn't be happier!! I'm finishing up my packing - trying to bring less but not succeeding! We plan on taking lots of Instax photos and having some adult beverages and getting creative (we hope!!). I'll share pics on my Instagram account and Facebook
Before I head out I wanted to share my latest project life page using The Planner Society's February Kits. I recently went to my friend's daughter's high school production of Bye Bye Birdie. The cast did a great job - it was funny and very entertaining. I grabbed a few pics from her and created a PL page. I used papers, die cuts, stickers and washi tape from TPS kit. The kits are perfect for planner pages and the leftovers make great PL pages. This is the third PL page I've created with these awesome kits! Here's my page followed by some close-ups.
Aren't the colors of this kit sooooo pretty?!?! I love the blues and pinks together and the die cuts are perfect for my pics!! I inked the edges of the die cuts with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink. Here's the title card. I stamped this month's calendar onto a tag and trimmed it to fit on the top of my title card.
For the next card I punched out a scalloped circle from vellum and popped a die cut on top.
Here's the pics of the girls all decked out for the show! They are so cute!
How adorable is this dress die cut!

Here's the final pic of me and Caroline.
I love these kits and I can't wait until the next kit arrives!
Thanks for stopping by and Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

Mixed Media Monthly Challenge | Photo Inspiration

Hi Everyone! Hope you are all doing well!!
I am beyond excited for my upcoming annual Crop on the Cape Event. I am looking forward to seeing LOTS of wonderful crafty friends, taking LOTS of goofy pictures and maybe getting SOME crafting done!! It's such a great time and a nice break from work. We leave Friday morning and stay the whole weekend. It's ALWAYS a blast and I can't wait to see everyone.
Today I'm sharing my project for this month's Mixed Media Monthly Challenge. This month we have a photo inspiration as our challenge.
I chose the eggs and some of the colors of the photo as my inspiration. I created a mixed media tag using lots of distress inks to create a watercolor background. I also used distress inks to color my eggs. I started with Tim Holtz Watercolor Cardstock. I used watered down Peeled Paint, Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress inks to create the background. I added a doily to the background and then placed the watercolored eggs on top of the doily.
I used Picked Raspberry and Spiced Marmalade to color the eggs.
I added some flecks of Gilt paint from the Dina Wakley Media line of heavy body acrylic paints. I used the same distress inks I used to color the eggs to dye the crinkle ribbon for the top of my tag.
As a reminder our sponsor this month is Waffle Flower Crafts, a crafty online shop that sells stamps and dies. A lucky winner will receive a $25.00 gift certificate to shop online at Waffle Flower Crafts.
Head on over to the Mixed Media Monthly Challenge Blog to see the rules on how to join in on this month's fun challenge.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!!
