A Heart of Gold Layout

Hello Bloggers! Good Tuesday Morning to ya! Hope you're all doing well. I'm up on the Noel Mignon Blog today with a new layout using February's
Heart of Gold Classic Kit. The design team challenge this week is "Hearts All a Flutter". Translation: use an interactive element on your page. It can be a dangling charm or some hidden journaling. I chose to add some hidden journaling to the back of a tag, which I tucked behind my photo. Here's a peek at my page.
I LOVE the Memorandum collection by Pink Paislee that's included in our kits this month!!
For more details and close ups, please stop by the blog and say hello. Stay tuned for more inspiration from the team and have a great day!! See you back here soon!!

Bring on the Pink!

Good Morning and Happy Monday!
I had a lovely crafty weekend, creating and reorganizing a few things. Today I want to share a tag I created using February's Simon Says Stamp Card Kit. I started with a watercolor background . I grabbed a few distress inks and some watercolor cardstock and blended a few pink distress inks together. I splattered some watered down black gelato after the two pinks dried. I created another Julie Nutting Doll tag using her amazing stamps. My girl is decked out in papers from Simon Says Stamp card kit. Here she is ...
I stamped her out onto Neenah Smooth Classic Cream cardstock which is actually a nice flesh color. I then added gelatos to color her skin, checks and hair.
The sentiment is part of this month's card kit.
I added some quartz stones from Queen & Co. to dress up her shoes.
I can't get enough of these adorable doll stamps and I just added some cute summery beachy girls to my collection. I can't wait to create with them. I plan on bringing them to the March Crop on the Cape event which I'm sooooo looking forward to!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today and I'll be back tomorrow with a new layout.
Have a wonderful Monday!

Project Life Page with The Planner Society's Valentine's Kit

Happy Friday! I don't know about you but I couldn't be happier it's the last day of the work week. I'm struggling with enjoying my job lately - I have less patience for attitudes and lack of team work. Luckily I enjoy most of my co-workers or it would be even worse. My days off and weekends keep me going and my time with family, friends and crafty time save me. My job affords me alot, including crafty products so that's how I deal, for now!!
I've been working on a Project Life page this week. I recently joined The Planner Society, which is an AWESOME kit club designed to keep your planners pretty! With the leftovers each month I'm creating project life pages. This month TPS offered a gorgeous Valentine's Kit in addition to the regular monthly kit. I created a Valentine's themed PL page with the leftovers from this kit. Here's my page
I used the adorable stickers and washi tape included in the kit for my title card.
One of my favorite stickers is the planner girl, like the one I used on this card below. I punched some hearts out of vellum and used the stickers on top of the hearts.
I cut a piece of tiny silver heart vellum and placed that over a few of the cards to soften the look

Here's a few more close ups

I love how this page came out and it's a great way to stretch out the kits. Stay tuned for more pages using these kits.
Hope you have a great day and an even better weekend!
Thanks for stopping by today!

It can still be Valentine's Day, right?!

Happy Wednesday! I have one last card to share using February's Simon Says Stamp Card Kit. This is my third card with this kit and even though Valentine's Day is over I wanted to share it with you. Hey, I now have a Valentine's Day card ready for next year!! I'm ahead of the game! I created the  hearts on this card by using the die included in this month's kit. Here's my card
I stamped the sentiment included in the kit on vellum and then heat embossed. The hearts were created by die cutting twice - once on glitter paper and a second time on white card stock and I then layered them together.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a great day.
I'll return soon with more craftiness!

A Yummy Layout

Hello and Happy Tuesday. Hope you are well and ready to tackle another week. Here in good old New England we had the COLDEST weather we have had in a long time. It was -12 degrees at one point before the wind chill. Today it's supposed to reach 50 degrees. It's New England baby - always keeping us on our toes.
I'm up on the Noel Mignon Blog today with a new layout using February's
Heart of Gold Classic Kit. We have a designer's challenge this week - Budding Romance. Simply use a flower(s) on your project ... easy, right? Here's a peek of my page ...

For more details and close ups head on over to the blog. Come join our challenge this week. We would love to see what you create!
Have a great day and I'll be back with card later this week!

Shaking it up for Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day! I wanted to share a quick Valentine's shaker card I created last night while hunkering down in my studio during this C O L D spell. Holy crap is it cold. I will be inside all day since it's scary cold outside.
I grabbed my Simon Says Stamp February Card Kit and created my second card with this lovely kit. I wanted to used the sequins included in the kit, so I made a simple shaker card.
This card came together easily and I like the simplicity of it. Here's a close up of the shaker pocket. I used the gold and red sequins and an epoxy heart and sentiment stickers all included in the kit.
I hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day and I'll return soon with more projects. Stay warm and keep your pets safe from this bitter cold!

Simon Says Stamp February 2016 Card Kit

Hello Bloggers! Hope you are well.
I finally dove into my Simon Says Stamp February  2016 Card Kit this weekend. This kit is so gorgeous and perfect for Valentine's Day cards!
The "Hello Love" papers, epoxy stickers and sequins are beautiful. As always the SSS stamp set is so fun. The quality of these stamps is undeniable and this kit even includes some adorable SSS heart dies. The heavy weight cardstock included in the kit is ideal for card bases - it's hard for me NOT to hoard it!! Here's my card ...
I stamped "Hello Beautiful" on Neenah White cardstock with Black Tuxedo Momento Ink. I tucked a die cut circle vellum under the larger circle so the beautiful papers show through.
How lovely are these gold foiled sentiment stickers ... they are soooo pretty!!
I will definitely be creating more with this kit.
Thanks for stopping by and I'll be back soon with more projects! Have a great week!

Monday Mixed Media Tag

Happy Monday Everyone! Hope you all had a nice weekend and enjoyed last night's Superbowl. Our New England Patriots didn't make it but I still watched it for the awesome commercials and halftime activities! I spent the weekend catching up on bills, getting my taxes ready to file and creating a bit. I made a card and a tag. My tag is a mixed media one and it was fun getting all painty again!
I'm entering my tag into Simon Says Stamp's Monday Challenge "Ray of Sunshine" featuring Dina Wakley products. Here's my tag ...
I used Ranger's watercolor paper for the background and the Scribbly Girl. I applied gesso to the tag, let it dry then sprayed the tag with water. I added Dina's paints to the wet background so the paints would move and blend like water colors. I applied some yellow to the upper left corner for some rays of sunshine and some glass beads. The crinkle ribbon was dragged into several colors of watered down paint.
The tissue tape adds some interest and grounds the girl. I splattered some Night to the background and added circles with the same color.

I'll be back tomorrow with my card. Hope you have a great day and I have listed the supplies used for my tag below. Thanks for stopping by!

Planners and a Project Life Page

Hey, it's Friday!! We made it to the weekend! Amen!
How many of you use a planner? I have owned a planner for decades but have never dolled them up. I have used Day Timers for work, Lang Calendar Planners for everyday life. Last year I used a Webster's Pages Personal Color Crush Planner and I loved it but felt it was a bit small. This year I wanted something a bit bigger so I currently have a Webster's Pages Color Crush Teal Striped A5 Planner. I like the larger format - so much more room to document everyday life. Recently I have been eyeing Christy Tomlinson's The Planner Society Kits over on Instagram. I took the plunge and subscribed to both the planner and sticker kits. These kits seriously make planner decorating a breeze. I'm finding that I can practically fill my Webster's Pages Planner with blog posts schedules and DT deadlines and decided that another separate planner would help keep my personal life more organized. Enter the Day Designer Flagship Planner. This is a coil bound style and I love the structured format. Christy's kits are so generous that I have plenty of product to decorate BOTH planners and I even made a Project Life Page with the leftovers. I plan on doing this each month. Before I show you some planners pics, here's my PL page with January 2016 TPS Kit.
Here's the title card using a post-it note, stickers, die cut, and puffy stickers from January's TPS Kit.
I printed my photos with the Collect App.
I used a circle punch and vellum to decorate one of the cards.

 here's the last few cards

Below is a pic of my Webster's Pages A5 Planner - isn't it a beauty?!
I need to figure out the best way to photograph my planner pages - the planners don't fit opened in my photo light box so please excuse the photo quality of these few pics of my decorated planners. I'm still finding my "planner style" but the journey will be fun! This is my Webster's Pages A5 Planner.
Here's a pic of a decorated page in my Day Designer Planner.
I love that the hours are broken down in this planner - so much more room for organizing appointments.
So, if you are looking for a great Planner Kit check out The Planner Society Kits. The community is wonderful, helpful and supportive with tons of inspiration, especially if you are new to planner decorating! Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend. I'll be back soon with more crafty projects!
