Project Life: Week 13

Hello and Happy Monday to you! Hope you had a great weekend. I was reasonably productive in my studio this weekend. I finished Project Life Week 13 - yes, I finally caught up!! I also finished a mixed media tag which I will share as soon as I can take some better photos. For PL Week 13 I used the Sunshine Edition Core Kit for the first time! I love how bright this collection is. I used page Design F. Here's the whole page ...

I used Heidi Swapp's Glitter Stickers for the title card and as accents on a few of the 3x4 cards ...

I used the Collect App again to print my pics. I'm kinda hooked on this app. Here are close-ups of the cards. I'm still keeping it simple (that should have been my word for the year) by adding only a few embellishments ... below is a peek at my mixed media tag in progress ...

When it stops raining I will photograph my new mixed media tag and share that with you. I loved the process so much I'm working on another one. I'm glad you stopped by and I'd love to hear from you. Have a great week!

Project Life: Week 12

Happy Wednesday. I'm heading out this morning to travel to work in the storm ... we'll see how that goes. Hope my friends on the Cape will be OK as they are getting the brunt of the storm if it tracks as predicted. Spring - where are you!?!?!?
I have caught up with Project Life! Week 12 is done. For week 12 I used
Dear Lizzy "Neapolitan" collection that I bought at Michaels. I LOVE this collection - it's fresh, light and summery ... a nice change from our weather here in New England. I used photo pocket page Design F. This is my favorite page design because it allows for lots of pics and journaling. I used the Collect App again and printed my pics on my Canon Selphy. The photos come out smaller that 3x4 which I love so I can embellish around them if I want. Here's the whole page ...

I love how soft the colors are in this collection. The only embellishments I added were Doodlebug Design sequins and some stamping. Here's the title card and some close-ups ...

I can't get enough of my vintage typewriter ... I love the typed look, it's so easy and fast. I have yet to line up the margins of journaling perfectly but I don't mind ...

Thanks so much for stopping by and I'd love to hear from you! Have a great week and I'll be back soon!!

Project Life: Week 11

Good Monday Morning! In New England we are so done with Winter, but Winter is not done with us! It's wicked cold this morning and we have ANOTHER storm coming Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Enough already!! Spring, please come soon!!!
I have finished Project Life Week 11. I used my "Just Add Color" core kit and page design HSN 3. This is my fourth week using the Just Add Color kit and I still have tons left! I used a combination of neutrals with pops of yellow. Here's the whole page ...

I am keeping the cards simple this year and I like the clean look of them. I used the collect app for the photos and printed them a bit bigger for the 4 x 6 cards. I used washi tape and some Doodlebug Design sequins for embellishments. Here's some close-ups starting with the title card ...

You may see a few water spots on the cards - of course it started to rain as I was photographing. The beauty of printing photos on the Canon Selphy is the final coating on the photo makes it totally waterproof!

I love how the Doodlebug Design sequins have several shades of the same color! I'm kinda addicted to these ... LOL!!

So that wraps up PL Week 11. I have enjoyed using the Just Add Color kit but I need to use a different one for Week 12. I decided to go with Dear Lizzy Neopolitan kit. It's fresh and summery - I need that with the Winter that won't go away!! Have a great week and I'll return with PL Week 12 soon!! Thanks for stopping by!

A Sweet Layout

Hi Everyone. This is my fourth post this week - can you believe it?!?! This is thanks to a very productive and super fun weekend at Crop on the Cape. I brought my Maggie Holmes "Styleboard" kit and created a sweet layout. I have a wicked sweet tooth and we stopped at a local bakery awhile ago and I had to take a pic of the sweet treats. The Styleboard collection coordinated perfectly with the photo! So I whipped up this layout ...

I used a large doily as my first layer and built up other layers of patterned papers under the photo. I LOVE using frames around my pictures especially at an angle. Here's a close-up ...

To finish up my page I sprinkled some Doodlebug Design Sequins here and there ...

I will definitely be using more of this gorgeous kit. Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend. If all goes well, I'll have Project Life Week 11 ready to post on Monday!

Project Life: Week 10

Hi! Happy Wednesday. I am catching up with Project Life and have finished week 10. I used "Just Add Color" core kit for this page. I started with a neutral background and then added pops of red! The photo pocket page design is HSN 3. This was an exclusive to HSN kit and it came with three exclusive page designs. Here's week 10 ...

The title card is simple ...

I keep saying this but I LOVE the little squares that come with the collection. I used the photo app "Collect" to print out my pictures ...

I used my typewriter to journal on the cards - it's so easy and I love the look!!

So, that's week 10. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your Wednesday!!

A new sketch and a new layout!

Hi Everyone. I wanted to share a layout I did this past weekend at Crop on the Cape. I love the latest sketch by Creative Scrappers. I used October Afternoon's "Travel Girl" and Elle's Studio to create my page. Here's CS Sketch #264 followed by my layout ...

I love this picture of Joshua and Lilly walking hand and hand. It is so sweet and innocent. The orange and pinks in the collection are perfect for this picture. I added some messy stitching, a few stamped cheverons and some fun embellishments.

Thanks for stopping by and I love to hear from you! Have a great day and I'll be back this week with ANOTHER layout I did this past weekend with
Maggie Holmes "Styleboard" collection!! It's a sweet layout ...

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Hello bloggers. I am just settling in from an AWESOME Crop in the Cape event this past weekend. Crop on the Cape is always fun and I LOVE seeing lots of familiar faces and reuniting with good friends. We all share a common bond of art that comes in all different forms and styles. It's so cool to see basically the same products used in so many creative ways. It was also fun to have our LSS Right at Home Scrapbooking at the event. I was reasonably productive after chatting with friends and catching up!! I'm already looking forward to next year!!

I am continuing with my "Tag of the Month" project I started last month. Last months tag was to celebrate Valentine's Day. I created a tag using one of the adorable Prima Doll Stamps - you can see details of that tag here. This month I created a tag to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. I used Graphic 45's "Place in Time Collection"/March-Cut Aparts. Here's my tag ...

I layered several patterned papers, green sheet music, tags and gorgeous gold tulle and then stamped the tag with a script stamp and gesso.

I was still in a Graphic 45 kinda mood so I created a second tag using the Couture collection. Here she is ...

Couture is a fun collection and I will be using more of it!
I also managed to finish my ATC's for next month AND two layouts which I will share this week!! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a great St. Patrick's Day!!

Project Life: Week 9

Hello Bloggers! Hope you are all doing well and surviving the final weeks of Winter. It has been the coldest winter of the century and yet, I found three ticks on my dog yesterday! Seriously - how have they survived this frigid winter?!?!
I have been feeling better after the flu last week and I am slowly catching up on Project Life as well as packing for my annual Crop on the Cape which I'm finally getting excited about. I was going to bring PL stuff but I think I will work on a mini album with my Bermuda pics as well as working on some ATC's. We'll see how much ACTULLY gets done!! Regardless, it's ALWAYS fun to catch up with friends who have a strong bond.
Week 9 is finally done. I used my "Just Add Color" core kit and page design HSN 1.
I keep most of the cards neutral and then added pops of teal and orange. Here's the whole page ...

I used doilies behind the pictures to add some texture and hand wrote my journaling this week. Here's some close-ups ...

I love the squares that come with the kit. They are great for journaling or embellishing!

Thursday we made an unexpected trip to a local Irish bakery! We had a great homemade lunch with wonderful hospitality and, of course, we had to buy a treat!!

Thanks for sharing my week with me and I hope you were inspired to try Project Life! It's a great way to document the everyday!!

I'm back and so is Alice!

I'm back! I'm amongst the living once again. Last week the flu kicked my butt. It all started Sunday March 2nd - welcome March right?!?! By Monday I had a fever, was vomiting, my body ached and the dreaded cough had plagued me. So, with some help I struggled to my Primary Care physician who hooked me up with ZPac and Zofram for nausea. A day or so later, my fever broke but the persistent cough lingered. Another call to my Primary and he hooked me up with prescription cough medicine. It has been a week and I feel much better but easily fatigued and still coughing. I had a flu shot back in October of last year but this is the first time since religiously getting flu shots that I didn't survive the season. Thanks to my awesome family and an understanding boss I was able to rest most of last week.

Needless to say my crafty side was non-existent. Even when I felt better I had no motivation. I am catching up on Project Life and need to get packing for my annual Crop on the Cape coming up this weekend. I did manage to create some ATC's for my monthly group at Right at Home Scrapbooking. This month's theme was Favorite Character. I really struggled with this one and ended up with Alice from Alice and Wonderland. I knew I had some supplies for this, which actually helped me decide the theme. I created a few versions of Alice and included an Alice-themed cat ATC as well. I used my older Splash of Color "Preposterous"  supplies and here's what I came up with ...

The glitter is Splash of Color's "Viva Colour German Glitter" in Champagne. The brilliance of this glitter is the best out there!! Here's the cat ATC ... hey, cat's enjoy the party too!

Well, that's it for this week. I'm slowly getting back in the saddle and I hope to have a project life catch up post soon. Thanks for stopping by and sorry for being MIA for awhile. Have a great week.
