Shape Up for Summer!!

Howdy Peeps! Hope you had a great Holiday weekend!
I'm up on the Noel Mignon Blog today with my latest and last page using Noel's "Pure Bliss" Classic Kit. Our challenge this week is Shape Up For Summer. Simply, repeat a shape in your page design. As you can see I chose hexagons. Here's my page.
I have close-ups on the Noel Mignon Blog so please stop by and say Hello!
I'll be back this week with cards and a project life page. My lightbox died so I'm waiting for a replacement so I can take some good pics. I rely on the lightbox soooo much!!
Enjoy your week and see you soon!

Project Life Page with a Simon Says Stamp Card Kit

It's FRIDAY! AND, it's FRIDAY before a LONG WEEKEND! Even Better, Right?! How are you spending your long weekend - hopefully you can squeeze in a cookout or a trip to the beach or just hang out with family and friends and enjoy some yummy food! I'm going to visiting some puppies - one of which will be my Mom's soon!! I'll take lots of pics!
I wanted to end my blog week with a project life page I created with a card kit. I used Simon Says Stamp April Card Kit for this spread. This kit included lots of Simple Stories "Life in Color" embellies and papers. I created a few cards with this kit which I'll share next week, and then used the bulk of the kit to create a PL page. This is how versatile these kits are - just takes some out of the box thinking to create other projects with a card kit. Here's my page.
I haven't used this pocket page style in awhile. It's Design K and it worked well with the papers from the kit. I love the 4x4 pockets.  Here's some close ups of the cards starting with the title card. I layered stickers and a decorative clip from the "Life in Color" collection.
I added a few stickers and a decorative clip to the photo on this card.
Here's more close ups of the cards.
This page came together so quickly with the papers and adorable embellies from the kit.
Here's a last few cards.
It was fun to use the card kit to create something different. I will share the cards I made with this kit on Monday and Tuesday I'll be back with another layout using Noel Mignon's amazing kits!!
Thanks for stopping by today and checking out my pocket page.
Happy Memorial Day Weekend! Have fun and stay safe!!

12 Tags of 2016 | May

Hello Everyone! Hope you had a great weekend and are ready to tackle Monday! Today I'm 6 weeks post-op and am feeling great. I have a few more weeks off before I go back to work and I'm cramming as much creative time into my days as possible. I have Physical Therapy three times a week, some errands to run during the week and walking on my non-PT days. I'm trying to build my strength up but it's a slow process. I'm doing great, just wish I was able to walk a longer distance. I know that will come but I'm anxious to improve!! I'm still amazed at how pain free I am - just dealing with muscle aches as PT gets more intense. Once PT is over, I'm joining my local YMCA and I'll start weight training and try to tone up and lose more weight! I'm anxious to get stronger and hope all continues to go smoothly.
This week I have three projects to share. Today I have a mixed media tag. I finally finished Tim Holtz  12 Tags of 2016 May Technique Remix. I jumped ahead to May so I could enter into the current 12 Tags Challenge and I'll catch up with April's tag sometime soon. Here's Tim's Tag using a cool resist technique.
I didn't have some of the supplies Tim used so I improvised. Here's my tag.
We started with tissue tape on a few places on the tag and stamped our images with archival ink. Then came the fun of adding colors to the tag and the tissue tape resists the colors so the images stand out.
I didn't have Tim's Tiny Tattered Florals Thinlits Dies so I used his Heirloom Roses and colored them with coordinating alcohol inks. I added the roses to the hat of the Couture Lady Stamp, which is Dyan Reavley's.
The crinkled ribbon and lace were colored with Antique Linen Distress Spray Stain and I added a watch charm from my stash.
This was fun to create and I'm happy with the results. I love using the new mini stencils - perfectly sized for these tags. The subtle spots of Tarnished Brass Distress Spray Stain add a nice shimmer effect to the tag.
Thanks for stopping by today. I'll be back tomorrow with a new layout and later this week I'll have a new Project Life page created with a card kit!!!
Have a great Monday!!

Planner Kits are not just for Planners!!

Happy Friday Everyone! I hope you are all doing well! I have had a great week - two Physical Therapy sessions that went well, although I'm definitely sore!! I've been walking on my local track - not much, but it's a start and it feels great!! I'm eating better and determined to get fit and stronger. I have a few more weeks to savor before returning to work and I've been spending them crafting as much as I can.
I want to share another Project Life page I created using The Planner Society March Kits. March's TPS kits are so bright and cheery and made my planner pages so pretty. I have created a PL page with the leftovers from each month's kit and they are some of the prettiest pages. Here's the whole spread using the March kits followed by lots of closeups.
The coordinating die cut shapes, puffy stickers and regular stickers made creating this page easy and fun.
Here's the title card. I typed the dates on white cardstock with my vintage typewriter.

I especially LOVE the planner girl stickers! I can't get enough of them!!
I love this pic of me and Brewster. He is my parent's neighbor's dog who visits regularly. He's great company and makes everyone smile!
Here's the final card. The die cut shapes included in the main kit are just too cute!
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend. I'm working on a mixed media tag for next week and will also have another layout to share as well!! Thanks for letting me share my creativity with you!! See you soon!

Simon Says Stamp - You are my Sunshine!

I am so happy to be back in creative mode! It's exciting and motivating and just plain fun!! I have three projects to share this week starting with this card I created using Simon Says Stamp May Card Kit. These kits sell out REALLY quick but are well worth every penny. I always have tons to create with and I gain a gorgeous stamp with every kit. I usually create several cards and a Prima Doll Tag each month. My surgery set my creativity back so this month I created a card with a Prima Doll Stamp on it!! I love how it came out and the colors are bright and
and so cheery!! Here's my card.
The Prima Doll Stamp is "Collette" one of the newer stamps for the summer. I water colored her skin, hair and the adorable flower from the stamp set included in this month's kit with gelatos! I stamped Collette onto cream colored cardstock using my Misti Tool and paper pieced her summer outfit.
Here's a close up of the cute flower.
I added a few sequins, also included in the kit, and a sentiment. I love the summery feel to this card - it would be nice to give someone who needs some cheering up!
If you're looking for an awesome card kit, please check out Simon Says Stamp Card Kits
Thanks for stopping by. I'll be back tomorrow with a fun layout for Noel Mignon, See you then!!

Project Life with The Planner Society Kit

I am back today to share a Project Life Page I created this week with papers and embellishments from April's The Planner Society Kits. I am a HUGE fan of TPS kits for decorating my planners, and I make sure I create a PL page each month with the leftovers from these awesome kits. Each month I say "this kit is my favorite" and this month just might be my favorite so far!! The colors are so pretty and everything coordinates beautifully. Here's the whole page, followed but close ups of the cards.
Here's my title card - the gorgeous "Hello Beautiful" card from The Planner Society is so pretty and great quality.
I used the Collect App to print my photos. This month's Planner Society Kit included word and phrase stickers from Pink Fresh studio. These stickers are self adhesive and slightly dimensional but not too bulky.
My kitty was very clingy as I rehabbed from my surgery.
Also included in our April's kit was a package of seriously adorable die cuts, my FAV is this dress die cut which I added a word sticker to.
We usually receive a post it note pad with each month's kit and this month's is super cute. I used the bow post it on one of the cards below and I added another phrase sticker to it.
Here's my final few cards. I used another die cut and more phrase stickers.
I love how this page came out and it's so easy with all the products from The Planner Society Kits.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I have another PL page to share using The Planner Society Kit from March. Stay tuned!!
Have a great rest of the week!!

I'm Back and in "Pure Bliss"!

Hello Bloggers! I'm so excited to be back in my studio creating! I've been away for over three weeks while rehabbing from Hip Replacement Surgery. All is well, I'm just slower and somewhat weak but I'll be starting Out Patient Physical Therapy soon and I'm hoping that will make me stronger. I've lost some weight and I want to continue on that path as well as work out to get even stronger than before! Wish me luck!
Today I'm sharing a peek of my latest layout for Noel Mignon using the gorgeous "Pure Bliss" Classic Kit. This kit is so pretty and the embellishments include adhesive sequins, layered stickers, paperclips and so much more. Here's a peek
Please stop by the Noel Mignon Blog for the whole page and more close-ups! Thanks for visiting me today and I'll be back later this week with more projects!!
