5 for 5 Holiday Blog Hop Event: Christmas | Day 3

I'm happy to say that the 5 for 5 Gang is back with another fun Blog Hop Event. Who is the 5 for 5 gang you ask? Well, we are 5 crafty friends getting together and creating 5 Holiday themed projects for 5 consecutive days. Our last Blog Event was for Thanksgiving 2015, and we are so excited to be back!! We have a blast creating projects for you and inspiring you to create along with us!! We use whatever we have in our stash and just have fun!
Welcome to Day 3 of our latest 5 for 5 Blog Hop Event. The event runs from December 7th to December 11th and is Christmas inspired.
Each day of the event we create a project based on a theme. Today's theme is One Layer! I initially struggled with this one because I typically layer on my projects. Then I had an idea to stamp some trees and add some softer trees in the background with second generation stamping. I used Tim Holtz Scribbly Christmas stamp set for my card. Thanks to the MISTI tool, the stamping and embossing was a breeze! Here's my card.
I stamped the trees in the foreground first. Then I stamped the background trees first on a piece of scrap paper and then onto the card - a second generation stamp for a lighter more subtle look.
The gold embossed sentiment is a part of this adorable stamp set.
Please stop by and check out all the fun projects from the designers. Some of us are offering prizes so it's worth checking out the blogs below!

Lynn, I love your card. The depth of your trees looks awesome and the gold behind sets it off beautifully!
