Lawn Fawn Birthday Celebration

Some Birthdays are just more fun than others. Today some crafty friends and I are celebrating Lawn Fawn's 5th Birthday! Happy Birthday Lawn Fawn!! When my creative friend Jenn Shurkus asked if I wanted to join in on a Blog Hop to celebrate this event, how could I say no?

I am fairly new to Lawn Fawn but my collection of products is growing quickly - especially the stamp and die sets. Now that Lawn Fawn is creating a die set to match each stamp set you can't go wrong. I have learned a lot about Lawn Fawn products from Jenn, who is an awesome teacher and has become a great friend - and enabler of products. (said with love!!)
Thanks to Amazon Prime - LOVE THEM, I was able to quickly score the Lawn Fawn Year Five Stamp and Die Set. The otter in this set is sooooo stinkin' cute I can see myself using this often. Here's my card ...

My card base was created by layering white and patterned papers using Lawn Fawn's Stitched Rectangle Stackable Dies. I love the added stitched detail and the dies make this look very easy to accomplish. I then die cut a window using Lawn Fawn's Stitched Circle Stackable Dies. To create a frame for the window, I layered two consecutive sizes of the circle dies and ran them through my big shot together - this easily created a frame to finish off the window. These die sets are a must have for card makers!
I layered some patterned papers from the Let's Polka 6x6 Petite Paper Pad and used my scalloped deco scissors to cut waves. I inked the edges of the waves with Ranger's Evergreen Bough Distress Ink and layered them together. I added another piece of paper form the Hello Sunshine 6x6 Petite Paper Pad to finish the background. Next, I stamped and colored the ADORABLE otter and present, die cut them and added them to my card. I accented the waves and part of the present with glitter. Lastly I stamped the sentiment with Lawn Fawn's Black Licorice Dye Ink - this ink gave a sharp, clean image for stamping.

I am NOT a quick card maker and am still newish to cards, but having all these fabulous Lawn Fawn products definitely makes cards easy and fun to create!!
You have arrived here from Roxanne's blog. Next stop is Laura's blog. If you get lost or any links are broken, please start back at Jenn's blog and she will get you back on track so you don't miss any fun projects!! Thanks Jenn for coordinating this fun event and thanks Lawn Fawn for all your fun and creative products!!
