12 Tags of 2015 | May

This past weekend was definitely a crafty one which makes my heart happy! My artsy fartsy gals and I caught up, or in my case, started our Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2015! We started with May and worked our way backwards.

I finished all but January which I'm determined to do this week! May 2015 tag has a very nostalgic feel to it. I decided to use an OLD photo of my Gram, I believe she was in high school in this photo, and some memorabilia that suited her. Here's my tag ...

The inked burlap and all the distressing adds to the vintage feel of the tag. I colored plain white flowers and crinkle ribbon with Distress Ink Sprays. The pearls were from her button stash - she was a professional seamstress.

I like how this turned out, especially since it's personal to me! I have listed the supplies I used below except for the flowers. Any white paper flowers from your stash will work and color them as desired to fit your tag!
Stay tuned for more 12 Tags of 2015 coming up!! Thanks for stopping by!!

Awesome color choices. Really like that you used an actual relative rather than just the "found relatives" from Tim's paper collection. Nice touches make it so personal. Congrats on winning in the May challenge.

What a wonderful interpretation of Tim's tag, love how you used a picture of your Grandmother with the words 'never forget' underneath. Congratulations on being chosen as one of Tim's May winners!

This is a beautiful tag, Lynn, only made more so by the wonderful photo of your grandmother. Adding those pearl buttons was just the frosting on the cake! Lovely color palette to show off everything. A deserved winner of Tim's picks for May!

Your tag is just wonderful and the fact that you used a family photo instead of a stock image makes it even more special. Congratulations!

I’m impressed, I have to say. Really rarely do I encounter a blog that’s each educative and entertaining, and let me let you know, you could have hit the nail on the head. Your idea is outstanding; the issue is something that not enough people are talking intelligently about. I'm very completely happy that I stumbled throughout this in my seek for one thing relating to this. casino bonus
