Tag ... You're it!!

Hi Everyone! I'm back today with a new crafty project. After creating a layout and two Project Life pages I still had some leftovers from Amy Tangerine's Plus One collection. I decided to create another Prima Doll tag. So, I grabbed my growing collection of Julie Nutting's ADORABLE doll stamps. I chose the sassy Miss "Mia" for my tag. I layered several papers and a doily together as a base for the stamp. I stamped Mia on cream colored text cardstock and "dressed" her with teal and black patterned papers for the Plus One collection. Here's the tag ...

I fussy cut some flowers from the collection and added them to the tag ...

The hand cut a few banners for the upper left corner of the tag and added some pretty white ribbon ...

These tags are so much fun to create and what a great way to use up your paper scraps. They make a great gift tag or can be a gift on their own for any occasion.
Thanks for hanging out and I'd love to here from you! Have a great weekend!!

Project Life: Week 16

Hello Bloggers! Happy Wednesday to you all. I hope you had a lovely Easter/Passover Holiday. I went to my Brother and Sister in Law's house for an AWESOME feast! We all had a great time. I enjoy their company and we always have some laughs!
I had yesterday off and was able to photograph Project Life for Week 16. I used Amy Tangerine's Plus One for these pages. I had some leftovers from the last layout I did and decided to cut up the scraps and create some PL cards.  I also had enough scraps to make another Prima Doll Tag which I will share with you on Friday. Week 16 consists of two pages. For the left side I used page Design H. I love the smaller size of this page and I didn't use any photos on this side - just journaling and embellishments. For the right side I used page Design F. This side has all the photos which I printed with the Collect App and printed them on my Canon Pixma printer. I printed two 3x4 pics on one 4x6 piece of photo paper and cut them to fit in the pockets. Here's the entire week ...

The title card is very simple ... I love the yellow and teal combo.

Here are close-ups of the left side ... I decided to hand write my journaling this week.

The right side ... keeping it simple.

The last photo shows a part of my studio redo after my lovely new desk was delivered. I have moved things around on the top of the cubes and some other furniture as well. The new desk is wonderful, especially when I have my creative friends over. Enjoy the rest of the week and I'll post my latest Prima Doll Tag on Friday. Thanks for stopping by!!

New Layout with Creative Scrappers Sketch

Hello Bloggers! I'm starting the week off with BRIGHT new layout! I recently purchased some Amy Tangerine "Plus One" products. Plus One is such a FUN collection - bright pinks, teal, orange, black, white and grey! There are lots of embellishments and, oh the Thickers ... LOVE THEM!! I haven't purchased the Plus One mini PL kit yet, but it's definitely on my wish list. I used a current sketch created by Kristine Davidson for Creative Scrappers. The sketch has a project life/pocket page theme and I knew "Plus One" would be a perfect fit!
 Here is Sketch #265 ...

You could go crazy embellishing with this fun sketch. Here's my take ...

I originally placed the photo according to the sketch but the pink card on the top right was too perfect next to the photo of my pets that I changed it up!

I love the color palette in this collection so much that I'll be creating my next PL pages with it and maybe another doll tag as well! Here's some close-ups ...

I might HAVE to get more of these Flair buttons - they are awesome!!!!

Well, I hope you liked my take on the sketch! I'd LOVE to hear from you and I hope you have a great week. I'll be back with some pics of my new craft desk and more projects later this week! Bye for now!

Project Life: Week 7

OK, as I type this, it's snowing AGAIN! Enough - P L E A S E!! Yes, it's New England ... I know!!
Anyway, onto more fun topics, like Project Life. I have to say that I'm surprised I'm enjoying this as much as I am. I started PL in August 2013 and continue to enjoy the process. This year I wanted to keep it simple and try different techniques. I love learning about new iphone apps that make the process so easy! I joined the confetti pocket craze and incorporated one on a card. For this week I started using papers leftover from my Valentine's Doll Tag and changed over to the Sunshine Core Kit! The pink, black and grey looked great with my silly Valentine's pictures. I used photo pocket page Design G. Here's the whole page ...

My photos are "sweet" aren't they ?!?! I love all the Valentine's displays! I am especially fond of the food displays, as you can see. I have such a sweet tooth!  Here's a close-up of my title card ...

I love my Amy Tangerine calendar stamp - it's perfect for Project Life. I am diving into my acrylic stamp stash and especially the adorable stamp sets that come with the

I love making confetti pockets for my PL pages. It's fun to add sequins, wood veneer shapes, and other stuff from your stash to create an interactive element. I was in a sewing mood so I created some individual pockets from a photo pocket page to have on hand. For this pocket I added different sequins, and confetti hearts I made from patterned papers and the Martha Stewart Craft Punch Heart Confetti. I bought the punch at Michael's with a coupon. Once filled, I stitched the top of the pocket and then stitched the pocket to my PL card ...

So that's Week 7! So glad you stopped by and I'd love to hear from you! Have a great week and I'll see ya soon!!

Project Life: Week 4

Hello and Happy Super Bowl Sunday. I know today is a big day for sports enthusiasts-me, I might watch tonight's game for the commercials!! Have fun Superbowlers and I hope your team wins tonight.
My dog Simba is doing about the same - still a bit lame. Hoping her meds do the trick and bide me more time with her. She is an amazingly sweet and happy dog! Thanks to those who asked about her!
Project Life Week 4 is done and I kept it simple. I printed the photos from my "Collect" App and like how they came out. I wouldn't want to do this all the time but I like the change. The photos are small but I love the instagram like format. The App is a great way to document daily and it sends you reminders if you forget to snap a pic! For week 4 I used Dear Lizzy's "Polka Dot Party" Core Kit. I love this collection. The photo pocket page is Design "F". Here's the whole page follow by some close-ups ...

I used Amy Tangerine's Calendar date stamp for the title card again - isn't it fun! A little washi tape, some cut-outs and done ...

I typed out all my journal cards, made a few typo's (oh well!) and added some washi tape and mini paper clips to the photos for a bit of detail ... also added some stamping.

So check out this collection - you will Love it! See you tomorrow for my Valentine's project as part of the fun Blog Hop going on right now! Check out the details over on Jenn Shurkus' Blog!!! See you then!

Project Life: Week 3

Good Wednesday Morning! I wanted to hop on to share my PL page for Week 3. I'm really lovin' the size of photo pocket page Design H. It is a great way to catch up and keep up. It also makes a great insert page if you have a busy week!! For Week 3 I broke into my Dear Lizzy "Polka Dot Party" Mini Core Kit! I have had this kit for awhile and I'm not sure why I waited to use it! For the next two weeks I'll feature this kit starting with my Week 3 page ...

The Amy Tangerine Calendar stamp is so adorable and even works on a smaller tag. The birds on a wire washi tape adds a nice pop of black.

Short and sweet! For Week 4 I'll return to a full 12 x 12 page with more photos! See you soon and thanks for stopping by!

Project Life 2014

I recently joined the Project Life craze - August of 2013 to be exact. I wasn't sure if it was going to be my thing but, to my surprise, I have enjoyed it immensely! Since August, my PL supplies have grown and practically fill my one of my Ikea carts ...

Since I took this pic I have even more supplies! I have decided that the mini core kits are for me. I use the cards for a few weeks and then move on to another style. I have purchased only one full core kit and have tons left. I have split another full core kit with a friend and still have tons left. With all the awesome kits available I'd rather have a smaller quantity with less leftover. I think a PL swap would be a great idea!
I started PL in August 2013 so this year I'm excited to start on day one!! I am still trying to discover "my style" and I definitely have my go to items: doilies, date stamps, my AWESOME vintage typewriter, washi tape, sequins, paperclips, ribbon and tons of alpha cardstock stickers from my stash. I'm still working on the photography end. I have a Canon Selphy but the photos do not print in true 4x6 or 3x4 - they are smaller. The Selphy is a quick and easy way to print from your iphone and the quality of the film is great!
For my title page I started with a photo pocket page I haven't used before. It is Design J. Here's my title page for 2014 ...

This is a simple page but it allows the photos to have the spotlight. Here's close-ups of the cards and photos ...

Week 1 is on the back of this page. Last year I didn't start with a title page - still working on that!

The date stamp, (I have an obsession with date stamps), is Amy Tangerine's Calendar Stamp.

Week 2 is done and I will share as soon as I can photograph it - such a challenge in this New England climate. (I shoot outdoors so I'm limited). Thanks for letting me share with you and it's exciting to start this PL journey another year right from the beginning!! See you soon.
